Been having some issues in my local association for a few years now. Our local support for Association Men's and Women's tournaments is next to nothing, and I hear constant complaining from board members about lack of participation, yet I never see even 1 of them around the time of the tournament at either of our two centers in town signing up bowlers.
That, combined with a president that is against anything like 50/50 drawings used to boost money for anything because he calls it "gambling"...
So to gather some ideas to bring to them, what things does your association do right? Do you feel like you get your money's worth from your local association dues?
What kind of turnout do you normally get for your local Men's and Women's Association tournement? Do they offer/do anything special to help with the turnout?
Does your association offer anything special for Honor Scores? If so, how do they pay for it?
Any constructive feedback would be appreciated because if things continue here like they have recently then my association wont be around much longer.
Thanks, Stop
