Not the sport, but the Challenge series. I've bowled on their Sport patterns before and I bowl on their Recreation patterns now, but I'm curious as to whether the Challenge patterns are closer to the easier stuff or the harder stuff.

Specifically looking for opinions on Broadway and Middle Road.

One of the sport leagues around here always starts off the year with a challenge pattern to get everyone back in the groove so I'll share my insight.

Personally, I think they are easier than a house shot when bowling good.  You never get the over/under.  When you miss right, you don't hit the face.  The carry is much better because you don't have quite as big of an ocean in the middle of the lane.

When bowling bad, it can be a little more difficult.  The ball actually goes where you throw it.

There are always a handful of bowlers in the league that average 230+ the first 8 weeks...

Those patterns are not that hard.

Yeah, when a pattern is done correctly it's much easier to score.

Thanks for the advice, guys.

My house runs these for their upper-level junior program and I've noticed the lower-rev or speed-dominant players tend to struggle sometimes. There's a chance a couple of our adult leagues may be moving to these patterns soon.

I agree with the users above. They can be challenging if you are not bowling well. But if you are reasonably accurate and can adjust a little they are simple.
