I remember we'd be salivating for the crews to finish with the lanes. Typically, scores were their highest right after lanes were cut, resurfaced, and refinished. We would play from the gutter. The current Cheetah and Wolf patterns had nothing on that shot. (Of course, we're talking 30, 35 years ago, and using Yellow Dots and LT-48s.)
Ball speed avg. (18.25 mph)
Rev rate avg. (400-428 rpm)
Still refusing to accept AARP eligibility and membership cards

Bowling in a small town bowling center with still wood lanes,the owner has let it to To seed.As being on the larger city bowling directors I was able to see the last resurfacing stamp.1999.Its time to require synthetic lanes or resurfacing every 2 years.The pits,nicks burn marks on the heads are embarassing
