Overall dry lane
« on: September 06, 2006, 03:56:42 AM »
I've been bowling adult for about a month now and I have yet to see a extremely dry pair. However, I know it's coming. I have a scamp but I dont really think I'm going to keep it. I was think about a thunderstruck, tropical storm. Idon't know what else is out there. Any opinions will be appreciated.

The common themes that seem to pop up here are:

Tropical Storm
Track Desert Heat
Power Groove Dry/R
Columbia Scout

Looking at your profile.  The Desert Heat would definitely give you some options.

Any old school Urethane is my choice for dry lanes.

Blue/burgandy/black/pink hammer

Stingray or Stingray/C

I think that the Thunder Road was Urethane too.

Speaking of which, what is the best way to acquire an old urethane ball?  Just eBay?

IIRC, the Thunder Road was a dull solid resin.  However, I believe the Thunder Flash Pro was urethane.

I don't have any specifics yet but I think it may work for someone I know on the bone dry lanes we tend to play on.  Or at least, it's worth a try.

I was just wondering if they could still be found.

As a lefty, you're not going to see fried lanes like the righties do.  Your profile says you have an Ice.  That should work pretty good on the driest conditions you see.
