2-8-10 Split
« on: January 09, 2005, 10:14:09 AM »
Do you know a way to get this split without using the walls or a backup ball??? I have seen this baby a lot (4 times in my shot ) And I got it once with a backup ball, but, I would like to know a way to get it without a backup ball...

I've tried straight using the left side of the pins, but I always see the ball bounce on the 2 and missing the 8 or taking both and getting behind the 10

Now I am asking people to let me get them when we are on practice... I love that split, its a big challenge!!!!

I've picked it up now and then by trying to hit the 2 pin just a tiny bit to the brooklyn side of the 2 with a hook and having the 2 deflect off the 8 and go across lane and kick out the 10.

Throw it as hard as possible to the right side of the two pin, hoping it bounces off the wall, takes of the 8, and slides it into the 10. I've picked it up twice this way.

Turn into a lefty?  Well geez, that's like saying "hey why don't we let you stand right next to the pins and punch them down".   hehe.  Corny, lame lefty zings are always amusing.

Throw cross lane at the 2-pin, bringing it over hard to take the 10-pin out, and the 2-pin hits the side wall and comes back across the deck to take out the 8-pin...I've mad it twice this way.

Well that's ironic, since you said "wrong hand" instead of "lefty".
