I would like everyone's opinion on this. I throw only Storm now and going to switch and go to another brand this year. A few people have told me that I should throw a little of everything instead of being lockdown to one brand. What is everyones opinion on this?

Definitely do not limit yourself, i throw a mixed bag and enjoy it. Every single company offers good equipment, no company is better than another so why limit yourself?

I have used all Track at one point and now I am currently using all Brunswick. I have heard the same things. Don't use just one company use all. Don't stay with one unless you are getting paid. Same things the previous people have said. For me it's easier to adjust with one company. When I was in process of switching from Track to Brunswick I would have some areas that were just a weird difference between the two companies. I look at it this way. It's my choice on what to do. If I want to use just one company I will. I am the one paying for my equipment so I will use what I want. If you like using just one company then stick with it. If you really want to branch out and try another company then do it. Only you can tell yourself what is right for you.

I currently am throwing throw mainly Storm and Roto Grip, but have thrown Hammer and Ebonite with success in the past. I have experimented with Brunswick and would like to try some 900G and AMF in the future. It is really your preference as to what you want to try.

My personal recommendation is to throw whatever ball you want to no matter what brand. But if you use more than a few balls it's a lot easier to limit the arsenal to one brand, MAYBE two, in my opinion. It just takes a lot of the difficulty out of trying to figure out where this ball from one brand will fit with two other balls that are also from different brands.

Situations like that make ball decisions really annoying for me, so my choice is to throw one company for the most part, maybe with a ball from another company thrown in once in a while for a special reaction/condition.

I like to be the local Black Sheep. I throw what nobody else will and usually just because they say it's junk. I don't have the most honor scores but I have been 1-2 in points the last 4-5 seasons in two of my three leagues.

Late last year I made a switch to go exclusivly Global/900. What a great choice.

Second that. While you might have the case that you match up well witha certain coverstock, core or a combo thereof, I'd hardly doubt that it
A) is true for the whole manufacturer's/brand's lineup
B) You never know how new coverstocks work for your game - technology advances quickly.

IMHO, limiting yourself or sticking to just one brand (and these days, many brands are poured by the same manufacturer) keeps you from trying other things whioch might work even better. But that's a guessing game, too. You can be lucky and find a gem for you, or not.

Personally, when I find a gap in my arsenal or have to replace a piece, I look at RG core numbers and the ball's utilty as described by the manufacturer, and consider a layout as well as surface changes to make the ball potentially fill the bill.
I do this regardless of the manufacturer. I might shake down choices to an evoked set, and then check what might be available locally. So far this strategy has been quite successful, even though I mujst admit that you actually can judge results once you have punched up the ball. But that's something totally detached from manufacturer choice or limit.

+1. I don't think one should stay with only one company. I do throw mainly one company(Global AMF ) but I still use some Storm, Mo, and Columbia as well. Just opens more doors by not locking into one brand.

Do what you feel is right bottom line. I like storm for the most part but I have equipment from brunswick, hammer, ebonite, morich, and columbia 300. Right now I have in my bag are 2 storm ball's, T-Road pearl and diablo.

I can see using one company as a limiting factor. I like to think that with the...What are we talking about here? Companies or manufactures? Global/AMF are by all rights the same, Storm/Roto are the same...

If that is what you mean there is no doubt that I can fill any hole with a ball from that company.

I do both kinda. I pick up a ball or two from one company that I really like and kinda go with it for a while. Then if I try something different that I really like then I buy some more of their stuff and go from there.

I am usually brand loyal, makes it easier to transition in tourneys with fewer cores and covers in the bag.

I like to have mixed bag as well. I am at the moment 900/AMF with some quickly adding piece3s of LM/L. All the pieces do different things, and I have a very good arsenal in my opinion using these 3 brands.

I agree don't limit yourself to 1 option, try different stuff.
