KT tape will probably help as long as you apply it correctly.  I have used it extensively after a shoulder reconstruction a few years ago and it did help me with support.  Go to their website and learn how to apply it.  The proper amount of stretch and positioning is key to best results.

There are two kinds, cotton and polyester.  The polyester is a few bucks extra but will stay on during showers, etc. and can be worn for several days if you desire.  The cotton is probably not going to stick longer than a day to two.  The different colors mean nothing unless you are trying to provide a fashion statement.

Started using it to wrap my wrist and it helps. Decent addition to my game.

I've used both the KT tape and the Genesis tape. They both work similar but I've noticed the Genesis tape has more of a residue when remove where the KT tape doesn't. And again, it's not very effective unless properly applied.
