Bowlers and employees just found out today that the Bowling Center in West Chicago Illinois will be closing at midnight tonight for good. I know it's short notice, but this was my home center, and if you'd like to come say goodbye, you've got until midnight.

Glenwood Bowl
Classic Lanes Chi Heights
Bzone Homewood
AMF Bolingbrook
Bzone Carol Stream
Bowling Green

There probably have been more, but all of these houses were open in the Chicagoland area 10 years ago.

ALSO GONE:

Warrenville Bowl
Lombard Lanes
Elmhurst Bowl
Espo's Country Lanes Elgin
Hestermann's Bowl Glen Ellyn
WeGo Bowl West Chicago
Batavia Bowl
Sports Bowl Naperville
AMF Valley Aurora

There also used to be bowling lanes in the basement of the Glen Ellyn movie theater, hasn't been used in decades.

All these gone now.... I feel like crying.    :'(

I forgot about Espo's that place, oh the stories........the things you would see there after dark belonged on an episode of Maury.

I still remember Town&country Bowl in Northlake.
