Sticking on synthetic approaches ?
« on: January 04, 2010, 12:42:32 AM »
Last 2 time I bowled I was sticking on synthetic approaches. I know this sounds crazy but the owner shuts the heat off at night I think things are getting condensation because the temperature changes. It is really cold out right now.

I have dynaroos with the changeable soles. #4 on the sole and the flat rubber heal. Never had a problem on wood approaches or synthetic all season. I've been working on take a long last sliding step and I can't do that. I tried the heal with the leather on it and it was so slick I took a spill. Needless to my timing and head are in the gutter right now because I gave up on sliding and trying to just plant and throw, which I'm not very good at. This is really screwing up my game. Should I try to scuff the heal on the leather one. I think as soon as the rubber heal is making contact I'm stopping instantly.

I have heavier than most. This causes more friction between my shoes and approaches. I stuck on EVERY Synthenic approach until I got these:

These are unlike any others I have. They are made of some canvass and produce a consistant slide over all surfaces. THe are not felt which is way to slippery. As well, the oil time I have ever stick with this on,is when there was oil on the approach.

There are reversable, washable and made with very high quality. All for only ~10.00.  I consider mine to be the best investment I have ever made in my bowling.

For starters, and old sock will do it, too...

since you have dynorooz shoes why not look into buying the adjust-a-heel ? i bought one and it''s made all the difference in the world. it has a normal flat rubber heel( the white one )with a groove in the front for one of three leather inserts to custom tailor your slide. for all the info go to:

www.900global.com

i strongly feel that synthetic approaches are one of the worst innovations that were ever put to use in the game of bowling.

The adjust-a-heel works great.  I put one on every paid of ABS/Dynorooz/3G I have.

Yes,i would definitely try an adjust-a-heel from dynorooz,i tried ever heel sole combo on my dexters and once i tried the dynorooz my sticking problem went away, the sole will fit on a dexter shoe as well

I'm using a Bowlers Slide Sock Premier II on my Dynaroos with the waffle heel.  Works great for me.  It is a lot better than the solid heal on my Etonics.
