STOLEN BOWLING EQUIMENT

I had a double bowling bag with two bowling balls and shoes plus a single bag stolen from my wife's Blazer monday nite. With all the stuff added up to 735.00 dollars. That is finger and thumb inserts as well including in the cost.The Blazer was unlock. I file a police report and got ahold of the insurance company. The bad part is the 250.00 deductible from that. The proshop is on the lookout as well. The bowling balls were Inferno-Retro Ressurtion and Global Assualt. My question is this- Has this happen to any of you bowlers on the Ballreviews?

Dude- This happen in Des Moines,Iowa. Adress 1112 Maish Ave - the Blazer parked in the driveway. Oct 25,2004. Thanks for wanting to know where at. I forgot to mention it. I like to see who did it busted as well.

I know how you feel! I have all my stuff stolen as well. Put me out of bowling for a little while. Some good guys on here sold me some more stuff at good prices.Mine was taken from a center in KC. I walked over to the ATM.. Came back and no STUFF!!. Guess it was my fault for not keeping it in view.

Sorry to hear about your problem.  I just had a thought.  I was wondering if we should go as fas as planting electronic tracking devices somewhere in our equipment.  They have it for parents to track kids now.  Why not out equipment?  Or would having something like a car alarm implanted in the bag...

Just a crazy thought but it might work in the future...

It COULD work, but it would be such a hassle to transfer 'titles' and such when selling a ball. Not to mention, alot of ABC rules would have to be changed. As for the bowling stuff being stolen, I've been fortunate enough to not have this happen, and hope it never does. Sorry to hear that it happened to you, some people are just low lifes.

i have got also a case....
i had deposited my 2 x bowling bags in a bowling alley in singapore..
that's 4 balls.... 1 monster (Green) , 1 x rhino pro gold, 1 x track hextreme and one fuze navy sparkle particle................
lolx.. n i had lost my dexter 6 as well.. with the finger inserts n the accessories.. in sgd its abt $1200++

bcoz the bowling centre's closing down then they didnt even informed their regulars n lockers owners to go back n collect their balls....
=(( they said they juz left a note saying they will be closing soon..
n i was in the army that period of time.....

How about posting stolen serial numbers on the site - with the town listed. That way, if anyone sees 'em around, or they pop up on ebay, we can let the rightful owner know...

I have all the serial numbers recorded both at home and in my wallet, incase they are ever stolen.

A friend of mine had 10 in the car - hers and hubby's. Their insurance claim was over $2000.

Thanks to all that have reply to this post. Mumzie bought up a new point with the serial numbers on the balls posted and also keep a record of it. I did not think of it but to carry it further is to have the proshop keep a record. And the person have the same numbers as well. So if the person has the balls - the owner and the police be noficied.

If you keep the origional box you have the the serial# and description of the ball imprinted on it.
You also have physical easily produced proof of ownership.
If I find the person who took my new Dynothane Thing lives (stolen in Troy Mi.)even if it was plugged and redrilled they will have a hard time explaining why I have the origional box and receipt.
