Stopping the Arm Swing
« on: April 08, 2009, 04:04:49 AM »
I am having some trouble with my armswing, when I get to the bottom of my swing I sometimes stop before the follow through. I do this about 5 to 6 times a night, last night they were all in a row. Any ideas what could be causing that.

seems like a timing issue.  Armswing can be ahead of your feet therefore you 'wait' until time to release.  Or you could be 'aiming' your shot and hesitate at the point near release.  if you have the opportunity, videotape yourself and check it out (also get someone credible to have a look - coach)

I do this from time to time.  The reason this happens to me has everything to do with balance at the line.  If i'm a little bit off balance my arm swing falls short and I don't follow thru like I should.

This may be what's happening to you?
