Just my opinion, but I don't like scented bowling balls. I bought a Trauma ER used from the house pro and had to trade it off almost immediately--it stank so strong of "Black Cherry" that my bowling bag, car, and closet reeked with that smell--The few days I had it, it fouled the whole house.

Not only Storm balls smell.  The Roto Rush absolutely stinks.  I cannot keep mine in the house.

There was a mention in the article of John Petroff.  If I'm not mistaken, he once altered the label of an old LT-48 to bear *his* name instead of Johnny Petraglia's.  One of the best bowling ball "extreme makeovers" I'd ever seen.

well... i have been a level 1 coaching certificate and the guy that tought it kept talking about "muscle memory" and stressing how to bring it up in the mind. He said that you should work on a pre shot routine because it will make your mind go into the bowling mode. I think that smelling the scent during the pre shot should help with the muscle memory... but i think that the smell is too sdtorn whent he ball in new...but it does wear off alot...

My first experience was the Bubble Gum Flame.  I bought this ball for my wife for her birthday, and let's just say it took some creative hiding to keep it from her for a month...

I have the same Bubble Gum Flame, a Flash Force (Grape) and a Banshee (Pina Coloda) and I love the smell of all of them.  My "coat" (bowling) closet smells great.  I didn't buy any of the balls based on the smell, but to me it doesn't hurt at all.

C'mon gang....stink?? Honestly.

Some of the balls may be strong, but they hardly stink. Now, don't clean the cat litter for about 3 weeks.....THAT stinks!

Shoeing up shuts 'em up.

Trust me on this one Scotty.  The Rush stinks.  I've been told by a chemist that the smell is pretty much what urethane actually smells like.

I think the Storm balls smell great. Why not make bowling balls with nice smells? My Infernos - especially my Intense Inferno - stink like chemicals.

Can't remember which one smelled like Bananas.  Could have been the LRG but I had left it in the hatch of my car one hot summer day.  It took forever to get the smell out after that.
