Storm Ride vs. 900 Global Break Down

I was wondering which of the two balls above was the weaker core/cover combo.
Bowlingball.com says the Break Down is weaker, which surprised me.

Thoughts from anyone who has thrown both?

Havent thrown the 900, but it is hard to imagine anything much tamer than Ride until you get in to urethane.   Ride was excellent out of the box for me on a super wet dry  house shot.  I could almost line up with my Blue Hammer at the same angles.  The only surprising thing I have noticed about the Ride is that I actually get a bit more over under off the dry after 40 games than I did out of the box.  I may end up going with a 4000 wet sand instead of the factory polish.

Theoretically the Break Down should be slightly stronger because you can tweak the reaction a little more with it being an asymmetric core and solid cover (granted weaker cover).

I love my Ride and it's won me some money. Mine is 50 x 2 7/8 x 40 with a hole on my PAP. Our house shot has a lot of friction and it rolls great on it. It's predictable but still has good punch in the backend.

I got a Pitch Black recently and so far my Ride and Pitch Black can be thrown on the same condition but they give me different looks. Pitch Black is urethane, it rolls and stays smooth. Ride gets length and has backend albeit it's smoother than something like a HyRoad Pearl or Punch Out

Hard to believe that the s70 solid is weaker than what is on the ride.

More than hard to believe. More like "Beyond incredible" or "are you on the same planet as the rest of us?"

I have owned both with similar layouts and the ride is weaker. Both balls ver clean and smooth but ride is by far weaker.  At least for me lol

The ride rolls really sweet with the polish stripped off. Done mine 3000 ab by hand. Really blends lane even more than box finish.

Ride is weaker.  The differential is even lower, and it's a hybrid instead of a solid.  Really where the difference lies is on the backend transition.  The Break Down is still smooth, but it's stronger on the backend, where the Ride is just smooth smooth smooth.  Can't go wrong with either option though, both very good balls.  The Ride is great when the lanes are beat up because it blends transitions out very well.
