Title: Storm Rolling Thunder 4-ball vs 6-Ball
Post by: milorafferty on November 05, 2015, 12:22:29 PM
My bag is looking pretty rough after 6 years of use, so thinking of replacing it.

The current one is a 6 ball roller, which of course I mostly use as a 4 ball with the middle section removed.

My question is, what is the difference between the 6-ball vs the 4-ball. Is it just the middle section and the added strap connections?

Is the handle the same height when fully extended?

Will my current middle two ball section fit on a four ball rolling thunder to make it a six ball carrier?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Not really answering the question just throwing some chatter but I hear a lot from everyone I know that these storm rolling thunder just sucks. Stuff break fast on it. Just giving a warning to ya maybe do a lil research not trying to persuade u somewhere else just a heads up.

You know different people than I then. My bag is 6 years old and I want to replace it only because it's looking it's age. Considering that it has been to Vegas 5 or 6 times, LA 10-15 times, Reno too many to count, Baton Rouge and El Paso. Not even counting 3 to 5 leagues a week in winter and 2 to 3 in summer, local tournament and Match club on almost every weekend, I would say it held up pretty well.

The zippers all still work and other than a quick shot of WD-40 on the area of the handle that slides up and down and a cut or two. It's still serviceable. It just looks like it has all these miles on it.

The older ones were way better than newer ones. Mine fell apart in a matter on months. I went to the KR royal flush and its great!  Built exceptionally well

My problem with the KR/Brunswick 4/6 ball rollers is size. Those things are huge. Even in 6 ball configuration, my Rolling Thunder is still about the same size and the 4 ball configuration of the KR bag.

KR bags are nice, but they do take up RV space.

I bought an older Storm because I've also heard about the newer storm quality issue. BUT, Storm does have great customer service. The ball cups cracked and they replaced them for free, both of them.

...and they have the same 5 year warranty as the KR bags. That's good enough for me.
