Man Arrested For Assault With Bowling Ball
ROCKLIN (CBS13) ¯
A night of fun at a Rocklin bowling alley turned nasty after a fight erupted between bowlers and one man decided to settle the dispute using a 16-pound bowling ball as a weapon.
Rocklin police say they were called to the Rocklin AMF bowling alley on Sierra Meadows Drive last night for reports of a fight.
Police say the fight started when two bowlers approached a lane at the same time and couldn't agree on who had the right of way.
A fist fight broke out and escalated to involved about six people. Police say it ended when 24-year-old Ryan Scott David of Roseville slammed a 16-pound bowling ball into the face of another man knocking out his front tooth. David was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon and booked into the Placer County Jail.
Paramedics were able to save the victim's tooth which had been knocked out root and all. Doctors at Sutter Roseville Hospital were able to replace the tooth with the hopes it will be able to re-attach itself. The victim also suffered other injuries to his face from the impact of the bowling ball.
