Strangest leave ever
« on: May 03, 2007, 02:06:09 PM »
Bar5003 started a topic about his pick up of the 7-10 quote:

"With my trusty AMF Xtreme...after a string of 5 ten pins in a row i left a 7-10 in the hole...and then proceded to rifle it at the 10 pin bringing it back out and taking the 7 out clean in the air...unbelievable feeling!

Anyone else have 7-10 stories??"

So this prompted me to post a new topic. Probably already done before but let's do it again.

What was your strangest leave?

Personally I left the 1-2-3-4-5-6 one time in practice. I turned off the lanes and didn't bowl on them for a few days.

My brother left a pocket 3 pin (righty) and a pocket 2-5-7-10 in the same game one time.  I still rag on him every once in awhile to this day. I've never seen anything like it

Thats impossible, unless he hit the 1-2 pocket. If he hit the 1-3 pocket its next to impossible to leave the three. Otherwise it wouldn't be a pocket shot...

Yes I agree, even tho i've seen pins fall and get hit and stand back up. The only thing that upset me as a leave was a 9 pin, a pin came of the wall and slapped it, as it was falling, another pin hit the side of it and stood it back up. And also embarrassing was when I missed a 4 pin and the ball popped out of the pit and knocked it over, even if it was a dead ball, it was still funny.

I have seen some weird leaves if the back ends are not kept up. I made a trip to Shenandoah Lanes in Charlestown and I got the pleasure of seeing a 5pin slide to the 7spot.

I have seen guys with really high revs and ball speed leave the most interesting combinations.

First for me after many years of bowling.....bucket plus the ten pin, on a quick regular bucket type leave ( not a sloppy fall out shot ).   Al
