Resin has been out on the market for quite a while now. After all has been said and done, has it really IMPROVED the sport, or has it just contributed to the change of the sport?
The paradigm began to shift with the advent of urethane, and was then compounded with two piece weightblocks, then moved on into the resin era where we began to see bowlers with less and less experience begin to shoot scores that would never have been attainable at that level before.
This isn't a "Bowling should go back to rubber" question, because that is a futile attempt to take from one group and give to another. Its just a question about whether the effect resin equipment has had on the sport has been a beneficial one or not. Or should we have stopped somewhere along the way to where we are now?
