strongest oil reactive old and new.
« on: November 18, 2004, 01:43:21 PM »
I'm currently using my super charge as my reactive oil ball. Can u guys recommend a stronger oil reactive (old or new) than the super charge on heavy oil? i was thinking about the Rule.

From what I've been hearing, the Ultimate Inferno revs up a lot quicker than the Rule because of the low RG core and the 800-grit finish.  The Rule is a lot more jumpy off the dry and it revvs up very well when it encounters friction.  Once it starts hooking...it doesn't stop.  Haven't heard or seen much regarding the Thing Lives and Total Annihilation but those might be other alternatives.

An Ultimate Inferno or Rule may provide you with what you're looking for...

The Total Annihilation is a freakin BEAST from the things I've seen and heard. The charcoal executioner, for me anyways, just doesnt seem to be much of an oiler. For some reason I can play a deep line with a really strong backend on dry lanes, and its surface is a green scotchbrite pad! The Triple Xtreme is also a really nice ball for oil.

It depends what type of roll out of the oil and what type of length pattern and blah blah blah. I have both the TA and the Ravage. The Ravage is built more to skid flip. If you are bowling a pattern that just has a lot of oil up front and plenty of backend (no matter the length of backend) the Ravage may be enough for you. Mine probably hooks just as much as the TA. The TA does hook earlier. It depends again on what you are looking for. For my money the TA is a great resin in oil.

Although the Bully, Big Bully, Thing Lives, Ultimate Inferno and Solid Uranium are all part of the new very strong resin oilers, the others, Total Annihilation, Rule, and the Xtreme X Factor are probably stronger in their overall reaction and their backend BECAUSE of their asymmetric cores and their very strong mass bias differentials. These last four will almost flip on oil, but not quite. The y should be noticeably stronger, if that's what you need. The first four are already super-strong, huge hooking balls already, more than enough for the average or even the tournament bowler.
