Strongest Pearl Coverstock/Core on the market
« on: December 10, 2010, 11:36:10 AM »
Just wondering what is the strongest coverstock/core combination on the market?  Anarchy? MCP? Others?

The Revolver is a strong pearl ball as well.

in terms of what?...oil handling?...boards covered totally?...in the backend???

For me the Time Bomb can handle the most oil.

Even though it's old the 357 Magnum covered the most boards for me on it's given condition.

The most skid slip pearl I've ever used is the *Kinetic* Solaris.

Thank you for all of your comments so far.  I'm looking for a stronger skid/flip than my VE. I love the VE, but I want something "snappier".  I can't tell you my stats because I've never had them tested.  I began as a cranker but have mellowed out to a tweener with a lot of hand.  I'm looking for something that goes longer than my VG and Invasion, but snaps harder than my VE.  I was thinking Anarchy because I love Storm products, but want the best bang for the buck.  All my equipment is drilled pin above the ring or just kicked up and out right of ring. Also looking for a pearl because no matter how clean I keep my balls after each session(insert chuckle here), the Invasion and VG are oil suckers.  I resurface ever 15-20 with 1000 abralon and every 50 with 500 then 1000 and I'm tired of it.  I'd love a pearl that can handle oil better and not die the second their is carry down.  Thanks for your help.

from what I have heard I would think the anarchy would be the answer to what you are looking for.

I've seen it thrown a couple times and liked how it rolled.  Then checked out buddiesproshop ball review of the Anarchy and it has the Anarchy moving less than the VE in the video.  That got me a little confused.  Plus I don't want to pigeon hole myself into Storm products if there is a better ball to meet what I want.  If it were between an Anarchy and an extremely similar ball from a different company, I'd probably go with the Anarchy

Well, I don't know what you would consider the 916 All Terrain in terms of solid or pearl, but I would consider that to be equal or stronger than the Anarchy.

However, it all depends on the shot shape you are looking for? If you are looking for a ball to just be really flippy at the spot then the Anarchy would be your choice. If you want something that is very angular but still sure footed through the front of the lane then the 916AT should be your choice.

Can't really go wrong with either, but I'd like to see more of the Anarchy on a sport shot. Oh, and at a similar surface the Anarchy is stronger than the Virtual Energy, even being a pearl.

My evil siege drilled pin up (5in pin to pap) at box finish is really really snappy and incredibly strong.

I still say that the Black Widow Pearl had the most flip ive ever see IMO

currently the 900 Global Profit, AMF Shredder and MCP are great angular balls

ive never seen a Anarchy  or 920A go down the lane but ive heard there both fairly flippy

(of course that all depends on drilling/surface)

Another new pearl which works nicely is the mission 2.0
