I am struggling to find anything on my thursday league. It plays similar to what I have been told a reverse block would play (to me a longer Viper pattern). So beginning of the year the lanes are wood. More friction so I could play inside with a little swing just couldn't get it outside of 5 or it was a washout. But when they dried up they dried up. Only really struggled when they got bone dry.
Now they put in synthetics, first couple weeks tried to stay close to where I was just moving a couple right (about 17 at arrows to 8 at the breakpoint). This just magnified the out of bounds and the middle isn't very oily so very little hold in the middle.
SO finally last week I made a big adjustment and sanded my pin-up NVD with a green scotchbrite and played 10 to 3. The ball and line was money. It would get down lane and make a strong backend move. It gave me more room than I had all year. I had from about 6 to the gutter at the breakpoint as long as I kept my speed up. I made 1 bad shot where I got slow and opened for a 252 game. Problem was I could see my look vanishing in the 10th frame and early next game. It was throught the nose or 9-pin early 2nd game.
So I made a 2 and 1 move and the shot was once again tight as always. Missed out a board and it was a 2 pin missed in by a board and it was beak. So I made a bigger move inside playing 17 to 9. This was just weak 10 after weak 10. Even switch balls (Break s7, Break pearl) and nothing had any backend from the inside angle. I also tried the Break Pearl from the outside just didn't have a good look. So now I am looking for advice on any ideas for an adjustment anyone might have??
