Awesome! Works great...I went from around 12-13 revs to 14-15 revs!  My thumb doesn't swell up as fast either, lol!

grrr... this is the last thing i need to learn how to do right now >:O i've been getting too many revs lately, not too little! How to cut down revs, ron's next article!

I have tried it out as well, its great.  Using a ball that is pithced at 0, where as my other equipment it at 3/8in reverse.  0 requires no pressure or squeezing, but im inconsistant at times and tend to squeeze the ball. When i concentrate on not squeezing the release is very clean and revs effortlessly.


I just looked at my drill chart and I have 3/8 reverse and 1/4 right.  Perhaps my new ball will have ZERO pitch in the thumbs.  

Cripes, I also have 1/8 reverse in the fingers.

Try putting your thumb in the ball first. Try uncupping your wrist. Try releasing the ball and pushing with your palm to get it down the lane.

Drill a conventional grip for laughs. Make sure all the holes are humongous and squeeze like heck and let go of all fingers at the same time. Guaranteed knuckleball.

Thats more of  change up boss.

I have a ball that im throwing and is pitched at 0 seems to be the same span as my other equipment.  But the thumb pushes up against the base of my thumb, im guessing a shorter span by as little as a 1/16th would help that?

Ron's tips are awesome as usual.

I have gone to 1/2 forward pitch in my thumb.  

After realizing that having too much reverse in the thumb was making me squeeze the ball and my late timing affecting the loft killing my revs.  I have next to no cup in my release now and still have more effortless revs than most of the bowlers I see.  

Ron has made a great improvement in my game and I continue to work on it and improve.

For those that want to see an improvement.  Contact Ron about having him critique your bowling style.  For a small fee he will review a video tape and send you your tape back with tips so you can review and work on.
