So I show up to league last night, it's a second shift men's league and I stumble upon a practically new full bottle of Kegel Revive ball cleaner sitting on my assigned pair. Long story short, no one claimed it by the end of the night so I helped myself to a free bottle of ball cleaner.

Anyone know if it's a decent "after set" cleaner comparable to my current cleaner, Power Wash?

Side note, for deep cleaning I have C&D but find it a bit tedious to use at the lanes by hand, and prefer to apply using a ball spinner...explaining the Power Wash. It's quick and easy! lol

I had some quite awhile back and I didn't particularly care for Kegel Revive.


After trying Kegel Revive Ball Cleaner for several sessions, I've found that it was just a average ball cleaner.

It would remove surface oil and about 85-90% of the grit & grime.

If you applied more "elbow grease" and a second application, you could remove more stubborn surface grime.

But doesn't draw out the oil from the coverstock well (There were visible oil lines left)

Also I didn't think the ball felt quite as tacky as it should have and the ball kind of skidded more after use.

In the ads for Revive it says it lower's the ball's surface "energy" to slow dirt build up and oil absorption. I believe this accounts for the lower "tacky" feel and most likely the extra skid too.

Overall Revive is a alright general purpose ball cleaner, a little better than Ebonite Powerhouse Energizer Cleaner. But not as strong as say Hook-It.

It did come in a real good spray bottle!! (the same type bottle Ole Roy's cleaners comes in) save it, I still have mine.

Cool. Thanks for the insight! Yes I agree it does come in a nice sturdy spray bottle. I'll probably keep it to carry another ball cleaner once it's finished.
