What if USBC (Bowl.com) created page on their site that local leagues could get a substitute bowler for the night. Imagine a team captain putting in the Day and Time you need a sub. Then someone replies back automatically. No need to call around. You can have a rating (good to poor) of substitutes based on whether they show up to bowl or not.
Is something like this possible?
Sounds to me that would work better as a feature of your local bowling center's website. There are obviously tons of leagues and bowling centers, a lot of work to keep something like that up to date all the time.
I'd rather you hate me for everything I am, then have you love me for something that I'm not!!! 5FDP
Interesting idea! Now if I can just find the time to get it up and running...
Here's what I've come up with for data points on the "I need a sub" side of things:
Contact Name (as in for the team with the opening)
Contact Email
Contact Phone (optional)
Bowling Center Name
Bowling Center Address
Bowling Center City
Bowling Center State
Day of Sub Opening
League Start Time
Arrival Time Desired (i.e. - shadow balls start 15 min. prior?)
Average of Absent Bowler
Anything else? Phone number for the Bowling Center maybe? An "additional comments" box?
I was thinking this could work the other way, too...like having a page where people could post their availability for subbing...what do you think?
