Sudden pain during release
« on: February 10, 2011, 03:47:25 PM »
I just this sudden shocking pain/sensation during the down swing of my release at random times. It's not a sore or a sprain type pain. It's just a shocking feeling like from my fingers down my arm. I stop my swing at the time cause if I release the ball I probably gutter the ball into the lane. It hurts at the moment but doesn't really stay, not sure how to exactly explain it. It happens at random times before, but lately it's happening at least once a week during my league and it's bothering me. I don't want it come to the point where it seriously injures me.

My span is comfortable to me, about 1/8 reverse pitch, don't think I'm squeezing the ball during the downswing.
If anyone experience this or have a clue as to what's going on please post.

Thanks

2 things you need to do ASAP. 1. Get it checked out by a doctor, sports doctor if possible. 2. Have your ball driller recheck all your specs and tell them what is happening.

Bowling is like life. Sometimes you are the ball. Other times you are the pins.

Sounds like something is pinching a nerve, which does seem a little strange.  I would definately get it looked at by a doctor.  Good Luck and hopefully you can find out the problem.
