Is there an app. If not can someone make it
« on: July 25, 2016, 07:05:02 AM »
Hellow bowling family,

I live in Maryland and we have several houses. As a new bowler I take pen and paper with me to each to write down what board I stand on and what target I hit. I am tired of carring a writing pad with me to all the lanes (I haven't started on special shots. Just the regular house shots). Is there a app I can download on my phone where I can put this info?

(just thinking about it, I could have put this on my phone in the note section LOL, But a app would be neater)
Thank you in advance

Yes, there is an app called:

your bowling caddy.

It is available in the google play store. May be, I'm not completely sure, available for iphones also.

I have used the app and it sounds like it is what you are looking for. He charges for the app, but the way I look at it, the $4.99 is equal to about 1 1/2 games of open bowling, or a large coffee at Starbucks.

God creates us with a blank canvas, and the "picture" we paint is up to us. Paint a picture you like and love!

As you move forward, I'd suggest keeping track of which board you SLIDE on instead of the one you start on. These are usually two different places for the vast majority of bowlers. Why?
Because most bowlers ignore proper footwork, which is the basis of a strong and repeatable game.  Look into a book by Mark Baker titled The Game Changer if you want more detail.  As far as I am concerned it's the very best that I've come across.  Good luck to you.

Good Advice; but I would amend this slightly.

I would pay attention to both the boards you start on and end on.

For me, I typically have a 2 board difference.  as long as that is consistent I am ok.  but, one of the ways some of the flaws in my game manifest themselves is that my difference between where my feet start and end grows.

Frames will allow you to record both of those values.  It is the original bowling app.
