I have been saying exactly that on this site for over two years now. On the THS I bowl on, if you can "turn it up", you have area for days. Plus, the pins scatter around on the deck like they can't wait to fall down.
I bowled against a guy last night who puts a great roll on the ball. He's very smooth, would make all of the guys who've posted videos on this site look like chumps. Because of his ball's roll/action, he doesn't need to be accurate, although I think he could be if he needed to.
He threw a 776 series against us without even trying, completely effortless performance. I, on the other hand, missed my mark by more than two boards twice all night, and was rewarded with a wonderful 634 series.
No complaints, my game requires accuracy, because I can't "turn the ball up" the way some guys can. That's just the way it is.
Welcome to bowling in the 21st century.
