Super Freak is newer. I am sure someone on here has thrown both. Maybe Excaiber will chime in.

Good Luck, cooksey

SuperFreak is newer.

They are both very good ball so have. Which one is best for you depends on the condition you are going to be throwing it on. If you are on true heavy oil, the Super Freak is better choice. It tends to begin its roll sooner, and is very smooth and continuous. The Mutant gets down the lane better and has a very strong backend reaction. DO NOT LET THIS FOOL YOU!!!! The Mutant hooks, and is without a doubt an oil ball, it just gives a different look on the lanes than the Super Freak.

Of the 2, I liked the Mutant better. With a little bit of surface it handled the oil just fine. The Mutant hits very hard! The only ball I have ever thrown that hits harder is the Track Animal. Judging by your ball speed, the Mutant would be the better of the 2 for you also. The Super Freak would burn up and more than likely roll out with your lower speed (naturally this depends on the lane conditions you are bowling on also).

goodluck
