Anyone have tips or links to a another bowling website offering insite to "backing your hand" off. In an attempt to diversify my game im learning to play up the gutter. Any help?

Break your wrist, keep it that way through the release. That will really kill the reaction. When I do that, I get on the side so it is more like a suitcase release and I can really float the ball that way.
