What is the hardest center in your area
« on: April 18, 2010, 09:23:30 AM »
With the topic of what is the easiest bowling alley in your area below...what do you think is the hardest?

In my area which is Fort Worth but will include Dallas area included for the D/FW area I would say AMF Irving is the hardest. 700's are rare, consistent shots are difficult and most of all they are wood lanes. PBA tour came to town and 200 average to make match play was hard enough.

Yep Irving's been tough for years.  It's getting worse now that there are low league numbers and no money being put into it.  We wanted to put my mother's pro shop back into Irving but the AMF district manager said no and he was not going to have a pro shop there.  The problem with Irving is the city's 60/40 alcohol law.  Without beer sales they are hindered big time to make a profit. We made a profit in the shop even without the league bowlers from the center.  Outside sales were very good.  The other problem with Irving is the way the building is constructed.
