Surface Master Ball Maintenance System

Any one have this system? I would like to buy a spinner but can't at the price at this moment. For a 1/3 of the price considering this instead instead of doing it by hand.

Wondering how good the Master system works?

Just a FYI: You might check out the Polish Your Ball Inc. site, they are the ones that licensed the SMarT Tools to Master. They have some other bundles/kits at different price points.

I wonder how well the SMarT tool does polishing a ball. Thinking about the Star specifically, the one that attaches to a drill.

If you're looking at the system that's used by hand I think it's a waste of money.  Just buy the Abralon pads and apply them to the ball holding the pad in the palm of your hand cupped to the shape of the ball and rotate the ball with your other hand as you sand.  That works fine for quick surface changes, not as good as a spinner though.

I've never tried the ones that chuck into a hand drill, so can't comment.  --  JohnP

I got one of these earlier last year so I didn't have to keep running to the PSO to use his spinner on 6 balls every week. { he allows FREE use of spinner, very lucky here!} This system does well for Maintaining/ changing surface but NOT resurface. Polishing is not as easy either, can't get the deep burn like a spinner. Yes its quick & much easier than by hand but it ain't no replacement for a ball spinner. More like in addition to, great at the lanes where spinners not allowed.

Oh yeah! It'll getaway from you in a hurry if you get careless w/ the drill speed & launch the ball off the bench & across the room! Everything in moderation, they say for good reason. Get that drill up on top of the ball & ball will try to match up to drill motor RPM's right quick. See the video where the drill is in constant motion and as it lowers to the side of the ball it slows down & can even reverse direction too.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I had guessed. For surface by hand I'm more than content with using the Sandbagger and Mirka pads, but looks like a shortcut for polished a ball well might not exist.
