Swing question
« on: May 16, 2010, 06:42:02 AM »
I have a higher back swing and that also can be classified as inverted. How do i get rid of this ? I use a 5 step approach. Basically as im going from the top of the swing down the ball actually gets further away from the foul line as my body gets closer to a point when the swing starts rounding off . This makes me put the ball into the lane instead of on the lane. Any sugestions how to fix this

I think it would be worth your while to check into some lessons from a local pro during the summer. It shouldn't be too costly as many pros give clinics in the "off" season. I don't know if anyone could solve your problem "on line", without being able to see your style whereas they could take a hands on approach.

It seems to me thay since a backswing that goes inverted at its peak is not a natural thing, you may be muscling it up to the top which is causing you to be late at the line. To stop doing it you will have to learn to let the ball fall from your push-away and just let the natural pendulum motion to take over.

sounds like bad timing to me... I can't really say one way or another though without a video or more information
