Thanks for the info KW. I asked the question because in this one house I always have trouble fighting "dry, the oil disappeared" conditions. The lanes are done just before we start. I always score good the first game, then the trouble starts. I had always thought that it was because the oil disappeared. Now I'm thinking it's a combination of the oil drying up and a worn track area. Last week in league when the ball started over reacting I started wondering if the track had anything to do with it. I tried to visualize where the track might and tried to figure a line I (med speed, med revs) could throw where the ball would get into the track area farther down the lane. Wound up standing on 30, spotting the area between the 2 brown marker boards (I'm more accurate using a spot down lane). The line looked strange, for me, but when the ball hit where I thought the track area might be it made a nice move into the pocket. Shot the best game of the series in the third game and that never happens. I'm just wondering if that was a fluke or I stumbled on to something.

So many questions, so little time but I'm having fun.
