Standing around
« on: April 24, 2012, 02:32:15 PM »
This is subjective, I know. But id like to get a read on where most people stand on the lanes. The furthest set of dots or the closest set of dots. (in regards to the lane) I personally stand at the set of dots furthest from the lane. Lately, I feel like this is a problem. I think my feet get too fast at times which leads to pulling the swing down, etc

Im thinking of moving up to the next set of dots to get my feet to slow down, thoughts? (im 5 step by the way)

The way I was taught where to stand was to walk from the foul line taking the number of steps in your approach. Then add a little for your slide. I stand just in front of the back set of dots. I do stand back further then what I need to. This will allow me to step forward in cases like you are saying where I need to slow my feet down to get in time. Best thing to do is try it sometime. Good luck on this.
