Title: Tape on PAP
Post by: Dabalos on March 28, 2004, 07:28:24 PM
First of all I am a righty.  I have my ball drilled skid/snap.  If I put a piece of tape on my PAP where on the ball should the tape be rolling? Where should it be during the heads, mid and and backend?  Im just worried about the way my ball is spinning.

If you want to see how your ball is spining then besides the tape on your PAP, place one above your fingers.  This will tell you how the ball comes off of your hand, but again nothing more than flare after that.

OK maybe i should just ask this then.  How do you know if your ball is rolling wrong?  Alot of people tell me my ball rolls weird.  However I throw it out and always comes back to the pocket.  When I release the ball at about the midlane i can see my fingertips rolling on the left side of the ball.  It doesnt seem to flare too much.  Any thoughts?

Dabalos -- Where are the oil rings on your ball in relation to the holes?  Especially the first ring - the one closest to the thumb?  --  JohnP

When you look at the fingers with the thumb below it, you see the oil rings to the left of the fingers and thumb.  about an inch away from the fingers.  there are only about 4 or 5 lines though

Dabalos -- That's a normal high 3/4 track.  If you can picture it rolling down the lane, the fingers would appear to be slightly on the left side of the ball.  Don't worry about it.  --  JohnP
