A recent humorous review

I was going through the reviews & found this description of "The best ball ever made" (according to them)

BEST BALL EVER MADE. It plays like it as a built in GPS. No matter how you throw the ball it will find the pins. It doesnt matter if it is dry or oily. They claim this is an oily condition ball. Dont believe it. You can use it on anything. If you miss your mark to the right it will hook more. If you miss your mark to the left it will hook less

So... it was the ball that made it hook more or less depending on how badly you missed your mark. [rolleyes]

It's called an oil pattern buddy, more specifically playing on a "walled" pattern.

You mean he's probably 14 with a high series of FOUR-90.  Hell, I shot 703 in my ABC sanctioned sport league a couple weeks ago, hehe, let's see the little bugger top THAT!!!

So if the best ball ever made hooks in dry and skids in oil, why do I have so many??? Speaking of GPS, got to use one for the first time on the golf course this past weekend, and they are sweet. Except I could sit in the same spot for 5 minutes waiting for the green to clear and the yardage would change by about 5 yards each way every 30 seconds or so.....Maybe it was the wind.....anyways back to the ball that is good humor, I need to get one of those as well. Then maybe spare shooting wont be a problem anymore.....

If I could only pick up a 7 pin.....

That ball sounds like the 16# Spirit I used to throw. It was magic.

The thing this reminds of, about 10 years ago Carmen Salvino started a company producing a new ball. He had an ad in Bowlers Journal for the ball and I remember him talking about situations that had happened to him.

One was he threw a ball and it didn’t take out the 5 pin and said the ball just didn’t have enough hit, but that his new ball would have that extra hit. The second was he threw a ball and left a 4 – 9 split and that the ball had to much hit, but that his new ball wouldn’t hit to much.

Well which is it Carmen?  Does the ball have more hit or less? I guess it was a chameleon that could read your mind and change it properties as it approached the pins. I’m sure he knows better but to try and push this off on the public was terrible.

He's got you beat already Ham.
Don't you see that he proudly shows off his score in his name gm907
The ball was so good they had to give him 7 extra pins. HA!

HE He, I have a 304 game. 287 + 17(handicap) done some 6 years ago. Couldnt beat it with a 300 bowled a couple of years later. At present cant beat that.

Guy on my team bowled a 311 last season.

He's got a 147 or so average & somehow pulled off a 279 game.
