Tell Me What This Layout Will Do

its an insite almighty, brunswick warp zone core with light load particle cover.

i was looking for length with a strong arc(not snap) to the pocket.
some of these asymmetrical layout charts from morich are confusing.

based on the PIN to PAP and MB to PAP, Mo Pinel says its forward roll.
i personally dont see how thats possible with the PIN and MB locations.

let me know what this bad boy will do before its drilled.

Depends on your rev rate, and the conditions on which you plan to use it.

For *me,* that layout would be forward roll, all right, because it would flare out at about 40 feet.

thanks, ive had constant dialogue with mark.
i chose to use a 5" PIN to PAP and 4¼" MB to PAP layout

or pin over ring finger and MB 2" right of thumb.

it rolled out on me on "fresh shot" but there wasnt much oil out there on beat up wood lanes.

added some polish to it, and will try again this weekend for open bowling.

you might get more feedback in the drillings/layout section.

But anyways, just last night I got my The Big One layed out in this manner.

Only difference is that the MB is located closer to the thumb hole on mine.

This ball will do what you wanted to do, though it may be "slightly" snappier with the MB in a stronger position.  But playing down and in with very little side turn, the ball gets down the lane (with lots of forward roll) makes a hard arc into pocket at the breakpoint.  To slow and it holds line very well, too fast...and it skids past the breakpoint and chops into the 3-6.

Moving way and playing a swing, again the ball clears the head nicely despite the added side turn, and again makes a smooth transition at the breakpoint.

It's definitely a strong layout, but it's a very controlled layout.  Most of the time I use layouts that either pin over or pin under the finger holes.  I have bad results with pin placements in the 3in area.  But this one has worked quite well (with the 2 games I've tried it on)
