Highest average with no 300

For those of you who don't have a 300 yet...

What has been your highest book average without bowling a 300 game?

Personally, I've booked 215 (3 years ago - haven't had a book average since), and still haven't shot a sanctioned 300.

Just curious due to the fact that there are people on here and locally who don't (or barely) average 200 and have multiple 300 games.

Funny that you asked this because I averaged 226 this season (after a five year layoff) and my high game for the season was 287 and my high set was only 736.
 *edit......misread the original post, sorry....lol.

222 ave.  With a 299, and 845 series.  Not to mention 2 weeks of 548 and 582...
