Viper last night started playing 14 to 8 had a good look but wasn't carrying very well fought and scratched to 176, changed balls with the break down and went left accordingly still couldn't get anything to happen opened in the ninth and tenth for about 160 terrible. Moved pairs and started really experimenting with different lines and shots rev rates and axis tilts and found nothing.
Disappointed with my bowling not mad Disappointed I feel i could have bowled so much better the line was right their just had no luck. Sorry for the rant just had to vent

You've got to remember with it being a doubles league there isn't a whole lot of traffic in front of you.
You might of moved Right a touch because of the other guys creating some carrydown and found some fresker backends.
And a little tug room because of the carrydown.

I *hate* the Cheetah pattern. I averaged no worse than 170 on any of the other named patterns the last time I bowled PBAX. But Cheetah kicked my butt.
For starters, there was no "free hook near the gutter," which could be a function of the people/equipment that laid down the pattern for us. My best look came by going straight up 10 the way Mike Mineman did when he won his title two years ago.
Unfortunately, I never had that great of a look regardless, and I was stubborn about moving in because I was determined to play the pattern the way it was "supposed" to be played.

came out at the end and he said he forgot to oil them the
pba way. It was a ths all night. For a few minutes I thought
I was a pretty good bowler. I'll let you know next week when

42 voted and one team was leaving so they didn't vote (5 man roster, 5 votes)
Another team wasn't sure until my vim and vigor ;o) speech so they didn't vote either (4 more) so everyone was accounted for. I had 30 guys say yes and 12 say no to number 1 and I had 32 guys say yes and 10 no to number 2. I knew for sure who a few of the no votes where and asked them their thoughts. A few of them said they would still probably bowl (the $15,000 prize fund isn't going anywhere) The ones that had issues where the ones if it was the only league they bowled in. They still wanted an easier night. As for the team that was on the bubble about coming back they are staying put and said whatever the majority went with they where good to go.
The dilemma will be going yes and having guys leave and more holes to fill. To the other side the proshop man says he already has a list at least 6 names long of guys not in the league currently that have said count them in if it happens. A little bit of double edged sword here. Chasing guys away that have been in the league from day 1 but maybe bettering ourselves in tougher conditions like Nationals etc by throwing on them more.

I'm willing to bet ball choice will determine your success on this pattern if you're playing it right. My Twisted Fury wouldn't find the pocket, simple as that. If it did it would be too high to too light to carry. I move a board in with my Rival and I have a much better look(broken down at this point).
