IMHO it's the Visionary Ogre Pearl

Lower end stuff is just fine for the majority of us on medium length house shots which for many of us are light-medium at best unless you are a rev challenged high speed player you won't need more than entry level type equipment.  This kills the high end that manufacturers would like to sell more of.

Rumble for me at P3000 or P4000 has been more than enough and a great solid cover that is changeable and very easy to read.  Rumble OOB at P2000 is a great medium oil benchmark piece.  Right now RG is producing great balls from top to bottom.  The HP2 line of RG is more than enough for the majority of house bowlers.  Rumble $90 ball more than enough......hits down and in and hits from inside.

I also think Big B has some special lower end pieces in the Ringer and Strike King.  Though I don't use Big B stuff.

I love the low end balls but for me could shoot honor score game but not series. With help from guys like Gizmo and JustRico, I can now roll balls such as IQ PEARL and Wrecker when limited to Strike King  and other entry level balls had decent games and series but nothing outstanding. A team-mate back several years said learn to use top line equipment if possible scoring would improve I did shot my best series ever 279-278-279 836.

IS:

 Probably the Columbia300 FREEZE. I've seen LOTS of people use this thing, and it works well for virtually everyone. A guy here is averaging over 230 with his after using only top line stuff for the last few years. Says he really thinks this is a better ball than they were.


WAS:

 IMHO, it has to be the Columbia300 Yellow Dot. Things were different back then, but this ball was able to compete with anything out there, including the then new urethanes, and was about 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of one of them. Dave Ferraro won the Firestone ToC using one back in the 1990's I believe, and may have been 1990.

I have two of 'em. DV8 Misfit Pearl and Storm Lights Out. Really starting to go away from everything else, everyone just seems to be putting out less and less oil no matter where I go to bowl.
