The book, who wants in?
« on: November 23, 2003, 12:31:11 PM »
Ok, as some of you may remember if you reach into the depths of your memories, im going to write a bowling novel for the site, for no real reason but to get my creativity juices flowing again.

Im trying to think of a good name for the main character, so i thought, why not use someone from the forum. So its kind of a lame competition with no prize but your name being used.

So... who ever comes up with the best name for the book, will have their name used as the person who eventually strikes it to stardom... or will he (can be a female if the winner happens to be)... you will just have to read to find out.

good luck and high scoring

Star in name, star in the book.
Evvan, could be his first name. Get it?
Well maybe not but I had to have a go.

alter ego and star,

looking for a book title, and if yours is chosen, your real life name is used as the characters name, not the other way around hehe. Feel free to enter more then once.

"Twelve Strikes to Greatness"

Let the coffee kick in, and maybe I can come up with one more.

Um, could call it, Another Night In The Lanes, Another Day on the Road.

Base it about how a boy goes from national champ JR bowler to then pot bowler having to travel from city to city to win his living, cause he screwed up and got caught for doing something that messed up his dreams of bowling in college. and then document his return to honor to a national champ. sort of an adaption of King pin but instead of loosing hand, make it a drug addiction or gambling problem.

lol hope it helps and hope the ICP music helps the creative juices.
