Had a good start out of the gate last night in league. +142 after two.... Beginning of game 3, the lights go out on our pair...They can't figure it out, so move us to the "open" pair. Without any other info, I decide to start with the same line as the last pair... I saw sparks when it touched the lane. It was gone left in the ditch before it made the pins. Over the next few frames, determined there was no oil anywhere on either lane. Threw pearl urethane for the second half of the game...And managed to find the pocket...But no carry.
Quickly changed from a "let's see how high we can score tonight," to a "let's see what we can salvage tonight."

Sorry to hear. I would have been a bit irate personally. I hate it when I see centers only oiling lanes used for league and leave the rest alone. In our house, that means lanes 39-40 might get oiled once a week. Pure idiocy.

Your lucky! My house NEVER oils the lanes for our senior league! I guess they figure seniors are too senile to know the difference.

I feel your pain! I once had the same thing happen in a Tournament! I was truly irate! I have never returned to that tournament to this day.
I expressed my frustrations in an email to the Tourny Director; the House manager, the Sponsor of the tourney along with a USBC rep. the only person I heard from was the USBC rep. Despicable!
