Ok, so I came up with this really cool idea for a side pot while playing crazy 8's and I'd like to know what everyone thinks.  

First off, if you don't know what crazy 8's is, it's a really fun gambling game you can play while bowling.  How it works is you have 8 lanes.  All the bowlers start on lane 1.  Each bowler throws just 1 ball with a full rack.  If you get 8 or better you go to the next lane.  Once everyone gets past lane 8 the remaining bowlers go back to lane 1 and start over again until you have a winner.

Ok, now here's the cool idea i came up with.  Each of our machines has 21 pins.  What we could do before bowling starts is take out two regular pins and throw two red pins in each machine.  For $1 you could get into the "bloody 8's" side pot.  The dollar is your buy in for the whole night.  You win the pot if you happen to throw an 8 count and the pins left standing are the red pins.

What do you guys think?  I think its awesome because its pure luck as to whether or not it would happen and the pot can really grow, and carry over week to week.  Maybe it'll get up to $1000 before someone hits it, how sweet would that be?

I'm not sure if this already exists, but if it doesn't I think I just invented the coolest side pot ever.
