the hoinke
« on: August 02, 2004, 01:58:55 AM »
i bowled in the hoinke for the first time ever yesterday. i was told that the shot was long and thin. i threw my practice balls and thought it was going to be a long day with alot of hang spots. after the first 2 or 3 frames the ball was diving pretty good on the end and i didnt switch until about the 4 frame of my second game this was in singles and i averaged around 190 for the last 3 after a 153 first game. so for anyone going for the first time or going again my thoughts on bowling there are to bring someting fairly mild. im no robert smith but i can get quite a few revs on the ball. i started out with a optyx illusion and switched to a blue omega and when i hit my mark (which isnt often enough) i put the ball in the whole for stikes.

i was surprised at how well the shot was holding up considering they oil in the morning and i was told not again til around 5. we bowled singles at 9 and then i didnt bowl doubles until 12. if anyone has any questions feel free to pm me. thanks jimmie.
