Another bowler said this to me about tournaments a few days ago and it's so very true.

The most important things to check out in a bowling center if your bowling a tournament there are:
Where are the vending machines
Who works in the bar( good looking waitresses?)
Where the bathrooms are located
Where the exits are and where the best parking is
If the food at the restaurant is anygood

Most times you come into a center and "prepare" for the tournament in advance and then the tournament play is not that close to how you expected it to be.
It's good to get comfortable with your surroundings first though.

I can even atest to this happening a few times where i played at a center previously and then when i got there it wasn't what i expected in the least bit. The conditions didn't play the same at all. So that preparation was for nothing. I was quick enough to adjust and still keep pace. But i have seen others do this same routine and fail miserably.

Anyone else?
