There are a lot of unanswered questions that need to be addressed. I'll ask the questions that everyone wants to know but they don't because they are afraid. Afraid? Not I, I am the Mighty Peach without the pits!
Before I get to "bend over and hold the position mode", let me first start off by saying that Scott did a good job of with many aspects of the site like its development and marketing. For a while it was about his passion, however, it turned out to be all about the money. In the early stages of ballreviews he was a good guy, but toward the latter stages he just turned out to be one who only cares about himself. Now to the good stuff.
1. Question: Why was the gold membership being pushed so hard when all the while the site was going to be sold?
Analysis: Selling the site just doesn't happen overnight. It takes a long time to negotiate any such sale. Scott already had plans on selling the site yet he created the gold membership to bring him more money. Think about it.
Answer: Money. Money needed to fund a family vacation on a cruise ship called "Gold Member"
2. Question: Why wasn't there any word about selling the site?
Analysis: If members knew that the site going to be sold then the members would not have signed up to become gold members.
Answer: Money. If no one signed up then no family vacation aboard the cruise ship "Gold Member."
3. Question: Why didn't Scott just ask for site donations to the site in order to keep it running?
Analysis: Asking for donations means that the site is poor, thus unmarketable to future owners/investors. Scott would not have gotten much money for a site that needs funding. Now if he can show that the site turns a profit (gold members) then he can sell the site for more money. In otherwords, if the site is worth something new owners will pay for it. But if its not worth anything they won't.
Answer: Money. The cruise ship "Gold Member" costs a lot to host a family. The more money the investors pay the more money allocated towards the cruise.
4. Question: Why the new rules and why was the anything goes forum deleted?
Analysis: The site was more marketable without the trash talk, it wasn't because Scott was tired of complaints. Scott wanted to show his product to the new future owners and he wanted the "clean bowling site" so that he could get the most money for it.
Answer: Money. Less trash talk and more bowling talk equals more money from bowling investors, thus more money for Scott for his "Gold Member" cruise ship.
These are just a few and there will be many more to come. Stay tuned!
