Im evolving... need advice

Right,

I used to use a quantum slate blue pro-active ball, it used to hook nicely throughout my game, all controllable.
I also bought a warp zone, but didnt get use to it, so i shelved it for a while.

now over the last 6-12 months, ive grown out of my quantum because its just getting too powerfull and hooks straight off the lane, and the warp zone was becomeing controllable and became the primary ball.

But now when the oil is new (38' christmass tree) and there is no carrydown the warpzone hooks straight off.

I have played with trying to change my release angle ,but to no avail.

I was wondering, i can get the quantum re-serfaced, but would that make it go longer into the dry boards?

If you do not want to plug and re-drill it, polishing the ball up should give a bit more length. But the ball uses carbide particles which act like spikes, so I do not think that this would be a true solution to your hook problem? That's what I would try before taking more drastic measures like a new, weaker drilling...

You could also try to throw it with a weak release (broken back wrist), but that's not satisfying when the Quantum is your go-to ball, and it did not seem to work for you.

Looking at your ball arsenal, I'd also suggest to get an additional non-particle ball? Maybe a Nemesis or Rampage could be options to solve your problem and enlarge your arsenal for dryer conditions, or the occasion that the WZ and the Quantum are simply too grippy to be played effectively.

I am going to talk to the proshop guy about it in the next week to see what they would sugest.
I agree, a new less pwerfull ball would be a great option, and I would like a new ball, but they cost, and currently I cant afford one.
