According to Jeff Richgels at the 11thframe.com, Robert Smith is coming back to the PBA tour. For those who remember, he was a staff member at the time that 900 Global deregistered a few years back. He decided to stay loyal to 900 Global and drop his tour card because the company had been loyal to him.
Now that 900 Global is registered again, and with Maximum Bob coming back, that would make for some great tv. He just needs to stay healthy and make some shows. A few more titles and he could be HOF material.

If he actually makes a TV show anyway. From what I have seen so far, there is a changing of the guard recently.
-
Man he is so much better to watch..I really hope he does well, he deserves it!

I get the pleasure of bowling against Robert in local tournaments. I don't know if he still has physical limitations, but he's still the same old maximum bob in six and eight game formats.
He owns a proshop in a large center, so I'm curious how that's all going to work out. I'll ask him when I see him in the next week or two.
-
that would be great to see him make some shows.

He is very fun to watch.

I love watching Smith bowl.

I like Robert Smith's game, for the most part.

It's official. Maximum Bob announced his return to the PBA on his new Facebook fan page. He says his back feels good and wants to give it another run. First event: The Tournament of Champions. Next event: Possibly the Masters.

Thats awesome news. Finally something to get excited about again. Global coming back with Barnes and Smith on board. Should bring a little more buzz to the PBA world.

Good to see it's official.
As I said previously, if his health is OK for longer formats, I think he's ready to go. Anyone who's recently watched him in action knows he can still do things with a bowling ball that even most at the PBA level can't do. I look forward to congratulating him.
