Thumb holes
« on: February 08, 2005, 09:00:16 PM »
right,
Ive decided that my thumb hole is tooo big

What would be the best way to go,

Plug it and re-drill it
or to get a thumb insert into it?

To put a thumb plug into it, i would need to get it drilled anyways?

Or should I try to fill it with tape?
Does tape make that much a difference?
Bear in mind, I've never realy thought about the thumb hole, and its very loose.

If I get it re-drilled for a thumb plug or other, would I need to get the whole layout re-done? or can I just replace the thumb's hole with a new one?

p.s. Ask away if I'm not making sence!

the pro shop can just take your measurements, and either use a 1 1/4 thumb slug or an 1 3/8.  They will just redrill the thumb hole into the slug if your span is right.  If your span isn't right and you would have to move it say either half out of the slug or so, you would probably want to plug the ball...
