Starting to gain interest in Kansas City area schools as well. In fact, the KC Star had an article about high school bowling about a week or two ago.  Granted, there was a little tongue-in-cheek stereotypes about "playing Pac Man between frames", et al; but it stressed the increased interest in the sport at the HS level.

I am very suprised with the level of bowlers and enthusiasm in that area that it has taken that long. NY has had it for some time and has been gaining popularity in our area. Push it in in your school system. The cost to the school is quite a bit less than some of the more established sports. We posed it to the school by having private funding for it for the first three years. With that the local bowling establishment donated lane time the first year and discounted rate for the next two. I am pretty sure they still do a deep discount on cost just to keep the interest in the area. It is a good way to build business for them to. Every time I visit that house a couple of the bowling team kids are always there and usually have some of their family with them. Good luck and congradulations.
