Should a bowler's style determine the equipment he uses on a THS? example Bowler A has a end-over-end release on a THS. Should he use a pearl or ball with less shine or does it matter since she/he can put a layout on it that would match up to his style? Should Bowler B who is a stroker use the same type of ball as the end-over-end or Bowler C who is a cranker use the same ball as either of them?

My description of the house shot: Dry backends with the dry boards on the outside for bumpers. Plenty of oil in between.

Bowling style determines the type of ball and drilling for ALL conditions, not just THS. Different styles dictate the reaction of the ball no matter what the conditions are. Drill 3 identical balls the same and give them to 3 different bowlers, all will be used in different ways.

Give a mid range ball of any sort with any reasonable drilling (anything from pin under to pin way up to pin in the palm to pin 2 inches from your axis) to any given person, and they should find a spot on a house shot where they can get it to the pocket.
